Information About Benefits Can Be Found Here. Jordan Design is where creative possibility meets purpose. It’s a place for builders, boundary-breakers, and vision-setters — people who move with conviction, think originally, and create work shaped by real experience and cultural depth. Our team thrives when imagination, discipline, and collaboration come together. We look for leaders who bring their full creative voice, who understand the communities that inspire us, and who are driven to shape the future for the next generation of Jordan athletes and fans.

To excel in our Basketball concept roles, you must live and breathe the game — not just how it’s played, but how it’s felt, expressed, and evolved. The best Jordan Basketball Designers carry a deep understanding of hoops culture: its rhythm, its language, its icons, its unsung heroes, and its global influence. They study movement, mindset, and style with equal intensity. They know how the court, the community, and the culture shape one another — and they translate that connection into concepts that honor the past, elevate the present, and ignite the future of the game.

Who We Are Looking For We’re looking for a Jordan Basketball Concept Designer who builds ideas from a place of authenticity and creative rigor. This role sits at the forefront of defining the future of Jordan — connecting emerging innovation, athlete truths, cultural signals, product exploration, and brand vision to shape concepts that move the entire organization forward. You will transform strategy and insight into art direction, visual storytelling, and narrative worlds that inspire Jordan Basketball globally.

You are both an emerging creative leader and a teammate who elevates the room. You know how to push an idea further, clarify what’s missing, and bring structure to ambiguity. You work confidently across disciplines — from trend discovery and experiential direction to product storytelling, graphic language, and moving image. You stay tapped into the communities and cultures that drive the game, and you bring that fluency into every concept you touch.

The right candidate thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments. You listen deeply, respond quickly, and step into gaps without being asked. You bring purpose to your craft and take pride in delivering work that is both imaginative and impactful. You know how to rally cross-functional partners around a compelling vision, and you do it with clarity, ownership, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

What You Will Work On As the Jordan Basketball Concept Designer, you will be responsible for building the creative world of Jordan Basketball. You’ll collaborate directly with the Chief Design Officer, the Creative Concept Excellence team, product design leaders, consumer insights partners, and brand leadership to uncover opportunities, develop future-forward ideas, and craft visual identities that resonate with athletes around the globe.

Your day-to-day will be dynamic and hands-on. You may be driving an early-stage brainstorm, leading a photoshoot, traveling for inspiration, shaping the direction for a new initiative, or refining the creative materials that bring a concept to life. You will gather athlete perspectives, translate strategic insights into creative direction, and help guide key stories throughout the Jordan ecosystem.

With your team, you’ll shape the ideas themselves and define how they come to life — through strategy, art direction, narrative framing, and world-building that clarifies the emotional and cultural power behind every concept. You’ll create presentations, visual assets, and storytelling tools that influence product creation and energize the broader organization. Your work will help set the tone for how Jordan Basketball connects with athletes, communities, and fans worldwide.

Who You Will Work With As the Jordan Basketball Concept Designer, you’ll work at the creative center of the brand. You will report to the Senior Creative Concept Excellence Director and collaborate closely with the Chief Design Officer and the Sr. Creative Director of Sport to guide and elevate Basketball Concept development. Your day-to-day partnerships will span Brand Concepts, Jordan Visioneering, Product Design, Product Merchandising, the GM, and Product Marketing counterparts — a cross-functional network that relies on you to bring clarity, direction, and creative strength to every initiative. Together, you will align insight, strategy, and bold creative thinking to shape how Jordan Basketball shows up for athletes and communities worldwide.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in design or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training
  • A minimum of 8 years of professional design experience across product, marketing, brand, or agency environments.
  • A genuine passion for the athlete, for Basketball, and for the cultural forces that shape the game.
  • Deep expertise in visual design — from composition and identity systems to layout, color, and visual storytelling.
  • Experience developing creative strategy and narrative direction that turns insight into impactful ideas.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at once while influencing fellow creatives with confidence and respect.
  • A compelling portfolio demonstrating strong storytelling, photo art direction, brand identity, and world-building capabilities.
  • Clear and persuasive communication skills, both visual and verbal, with the ability to present and stand behind your concepts.
  • Experience collaborating with and managing external creative partners to achieve high-quality results.
  • Ability to orchestrate creative work across a network of studios and teams, keeping alignment without losing momentum.
  • A resilient, solutions-oriented mentality with the flexibility to adapt quickly as business needs shift — without sacrificing creative integrity.
  • The ability to stay sharp under pressure, working with speed, discipline, and focus when timelines demand it.
  • Strong interpersonal instincts and resourcefulness, fostering cross-functional trust and a collaborative creative environment.
  • A deeply developed curiosity and understanding of design culture and youth culture past and present — and how they influence the future.
