About The Role We are seeking a dedicated mid-level Talent Acquisition Partner to join our dynamic team at USAA. In this full-cycle recruiting role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with hiring leaders, candidate pools, peer partners, and third-party vendors to fulfill our staffing needs. Your primary focus will be on proactively sourcing diverse talent, developing innovative recruitment strategies, and managing the entire hiring process from candidate engagement to offer acceptance. This role requires a collaborative approach, leveraging industry best practices and sourcing tools to attract top talent aligned with USAA’s values and operational goals.

This position is based in our San Antonio, TX office, requiring an in-office presence of four days per week. Relocation assistance is not available for this role. You will play a key role in building a robust talent pipeline, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and supporting our commitment to diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, with at least four years of progressive experience in staffing, human resources, or account management, including knowledge of employment laws and recruiting methodologies. Demonstrated expertise in full-cycle recruiting, sourcing strategies, and applicant tracking systems is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sourcing tools, along with a strong understanding of employment policies and regulations, is required. Candidates should also have excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to effectively engage with candidates and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and build community partnerships to generate a diverse pool of candidates aligned with USAA’s hiring and program objectives.
  • Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to proactively identify and attract talent for open positions.
  • Manage the full life cycle of recruitment, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to establish community networks supporting military, diversity, and college hiring initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates within the Applicant Tracking System (Workday), ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and regulatory requirements.
  • Create compelling job descriptions that differentiate USAA from competitors and attract high-quality candidates.
  • Maintain high-touch communication with candidates throughout the hiring process, providing a positive experience.
  • Negotiate salaries within approved ranges, ensuring fiduciary responsibility and alignment with company policies.
  • Forecast talent pool needs to meet workforce plans and hiring objectives.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and team members to ensure compliance with legal and internal policies.
  • Build and maintain candidate pools through sourcing, networking, and leveraging industry tools and techniques.
  • Consult with hiring leaders to understand business needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable work environment.
  • Apply knowledge of employment law, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks associated with recruitment activities.
