About The Opportunity Public K–12 education — School district administrative operations supporting students, families, and school staff across a multi-site district. This remote Office Support role provides vital clerical, data, and communication support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations for educators and district administrators.
Primary Job Title: Administrative Support Specialist (Remote, United States)
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for virtual and phone communications: screen inquiries, route messages, and respond to routine requests in a timely, professional manner.
- Maintain accurate electronic student and staff records: perform data entry, update Student Information Systems, and ensure document version control and secure file storage.
- Coordinate schedules, virtual meetings, and appointment calendars for administrators and staff; prepare agendas and distribute meeting materials.
- Prepare, format, and proofread correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and parent/guardian communications using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Support compliance and confidentiality practices (FERPA-related tasks): process forms, track submissions, and escalate issues to appropriate administrators.
- Manage office logistics remotely: reorder supplies, track purchase requests, assist with invoice routing, and support basic bookkeeping workflows as needed.

Additional Qualifications
