About The Role We are currently building a talent pool for upcoming Digital Design and Packaging Design opportunities within the beauty and cosmetics industry. This role is ideal for creative professionals who are passionate about digital and packaging design, and who thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The position offers a hybrid work schedule requiring candidates to be local to El Segundo, California, with a commitment to working onsite three days a week. This contract role provides an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, including digital assets, site banners, emails, display ads, PDP pages, SEO pages, and packaging design. You will collaborate closely with the Creative VP and other team members to produce high-quality visual content that aligns with brand standards and campaign objectives.
Qualifications Candidates should possess a self-starting attitude with 1-4 years of experience in digital and/or packaging design, ideally with a focus on retail or eCommerce. Prior experience working within a creative agency or an in-house design team is preferred. A background in beauty or retail industries is advantageous. Candidates must have a solid understanding of user experience methodologies and practices. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, is essential, along with skills in presentation design using PowerPoint. Familiarity with Sketch app and video editing tools is a plus. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a keen eye for clean, effective design, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities The successful candidate will execute a broad spectrum of digital projects, including site banners, email campaigns, display advertisements, product detail pages, SEO pages, and packaging designs. You will work closely with the Creative VP to manage the entire lifecycle of digital assets, from initial concepting, photoshoot planning, and presentation to final production and delivery. Light color retouching and image resizing will be part of your responsibilities to ensure visual consistency. You will drive digital creative strategies, ensuring all assets adhere to brand standards and campaign visuals. Managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strict adherence to project timelines is crucial. Additionally, you will deliver compelling creative presentations to senior stakeholders, demonstrating your ability to communicate ideas effectively and confidently. Your proactive approach and enthusiasm for the dynamic nature of the business will help ensure project success and client satisfaction.
