Job Title: Data & BI Analyst – IT Operations

Location: Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW), TX (Near Irving)

Work Arrangement: Onsite, 5 days per week (Command Center)

Employment Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Position Overview

The Data & Business Intelligence Analyst II is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data models, dashboards, and reports that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders. This role combines strong analytical skills with technical expertise in data visualization and querying to support decision-making across the organization. The Analyst II works closely with business units, data engineers, and IT teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BI dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Design and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis from multiple sources.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of reporting outputs.
• Analyze trends, KPIs, and performance metrics to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Support data modeling and ETL processes in partnership with data engineering teams.
• Document BI solutions, data definitions, and reporting standards for organizational consistency.
• Assist in maintaining data governance practices, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and support for end-users on BI tools and self-service analytics.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in BI development, data analysis, or related roles.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, GCP BigQuery).
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics.
• Exposure to ETL tools (SSIS, Informatica, Talend).
• Understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks.

Other Requirements

• Non-remote - Work from Command Center

• On‑call participation for major releases and platform SEVs; ability to lead real‑time incident bridges.

• Occasional travel or on‑site visits (e.g., data center/lab or office) for deployments, audits, or drills.
