Description Minor League Triple-A Pitching Coach

Position Summary The Minor League Triple-A Pitching Coach is responsible for leading and executing pitching development at the assigned Albuquerque affiliate. This role works closely with Player Development leadership, pitching coordinators, and affiliate staff to implement organizational pitching philosophy, individualized player development plans, and team pitching objectives. This person will utilize modern technology and analytics to support performance improvement, while maintaining consistent communication across departments to ensure alignment with organizational standards.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage daily pitching development at assigned Albuquerque affiliate.
  • Execute organizational responsibilities and individual player development plans in-season.
  • Aid in the execution of January Camp, Spring Training, Instructional League, etc., as assigned.
  • Available throughout the off-season to remotely provide necessary information, teachings, and resources for players and staff.
  • Effectively communicate with front office staff, affiliate staff, and pitching coordinators.
  • Work with front office, coordinators, and coaches to establish organizational standards and teaching methods.
  • Execute individual player development plans while supporting overall team pitching goals.
  • Implement organization pitching philosophy and uphold standards.
  • Integrate objective information into a detailed and comprehensive player development plan.
  • Utilize internal tools, resources, and analytics to assess and adjust player plans.

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience working and playing in professional baseball preferred.
  • Extremely motivated, with a strong work ethic and problem solving skills, with the desire to learn and grow.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication.
  • Detail-oriented, strong organization skills, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment, as well as effectively interacting with other departments, to accomplish common goals.
  • Experience with and a working understanding of current baseball technologies, programs, and evaluative tools.
  • Ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships with members of the Club’s front office, on-field staff, and players.
  • Consistent, punctual, and regular attendance, while presenting a professional image and demeanor.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Work Schedule

  • Ability to travel with the team as required by the game schedule, including overnight stays.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by game schedules and training sessions.
  • Non-game day schedule is during the work week, and then hours and days can be flexible.
  • Ability to be present and active during game days, including standing and moving around the stadium for long periods.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and approachable in a dynamic, fast-paced event environment.

Physical Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods during practice, drills, and games.
  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment such as bats, balls, and training tools (up to 25-30 pounds).
  • Must demonstrate physical agility and flexibility when demonstrating hitting techniques or engaging in on-field drills.
  • Frequent bending and stooping required for tasks such as retrieving balls, setting up drills, or assisting players with their form.
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination to demonstrate swing mechanics and provide timely feedback during drills.
  • Ability to maintain focus and coaching activity over the course of long practice sessions and games, which may last several hours.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Annual Salary Range: $80,000 to $100,000
  • Standard organization benefits including health insurance programs, retirement options, and specifics will be provided to candidates through the hiring process
