Overview:
The Healthcare Recruiter identifies and attracts top talent for healthcare positions within VA facilities, veteran-focused clinics, nonprofits, and organizations serving veterans. The role addresses critical staffing needs to ensure high-quality care for veterans, including physicians, nurses, therapists, mental health specialists, and support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively source candidates through targeted networks, job boards, veteran transition programs, military databases, and healthcare-specific platforms.
- Screen resumes, conduct interviews, verify credentials/licenses, and assess fit for veteran-centered environments.
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines while providing exceptional communication and guidance throughout the hiring process.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, especially those involving PTSD, trauma care, prosthetics, or veteran reintegration.
- Ensure compliance with VA regulations, HIPAA, and federal hiring guidelines.
- Negotiate offers, support onboarding, and track placement success to improve veteran care delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in healthcare or veteran/military staffing.
- Knowledge of healthcare roles, credentialing, and veteran-specific challenges (e.g., VA benefits, military culture).
- Strong sourcing, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, and compliance standards.
