About The Role As the Founding Recruiter at Numeral, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and scaling the company's recruiting function. Your primary responsibility will be to lead full-cycle recruiting efforts across multiple departments, including engineering, product, go-to-market, and operations. You will work closely with the executive team to attract top-tier talent, develop recruiting strategies, and build the infrastructure necessary to support rapid growth from 50 to 150 employees and beyond. This role requires a strategic, consultative approach, with a focus on quality over quantity, ensuring that every hire aligns with the company's high standards and growth objectives. You will also collaborate with the Head of Talent to shape employer branding initiatives, improve candidate experience, and implement scalable recruiting systems and processes. Qualifications

  • 8+ years of recruiting experience, with at least 3+ years in early-stage startup environments
  • Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions across technical and non-technical roles
  • Expertise in sourcing top-tier candidates using creative and innovative techniques
  • Experience building and scaling recruiting processes, systems, and interview frameworks from scratch
  • Comfort working directly with C-level executives and serving as the primary hiring strategist
  • Excellent communication, writing, and operational skills—clear, concise, and action-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end hiring processes across all functions including Engineering, Product, Sales, and Operations
  • Partner with executives and hiring managers to define role requirements, establish hiring standards, and close top talent
  • Launch and scale recruiting operations, including ATS management (preferably Ashby), candidate scheduling, dashboards, and interviewer calibration
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to build a robust candidate pipeline
  • Create an exceptional candidate experience through transparent communication, timely feedback, and personalized engagement
  • Track and analyze key recruiting metrics and KPIs; generate reports to inform hiring strategies
  • Contribute to employer branding initiatives, referral campaigns, and internal recruiting enablement programs
