Social Media Manager and Graphic Designer

Role Description:

PetsWorld Inc. is seeking a contractor, remote Social Media Marketing Manager. This role involves developing and executing social media campaigns, daily management, analyzing market trends, overseeing social media presence, and collaborating with colleagues on various initiatives. The ideal candidate will be proactive, strategic, and able to drive growth in a fast-paced environment. You will be working directly with our Marketing Manager in creating fun and exciting campaigns. 

Responsibilities:

• Create brand-aligned, modern and trendy graphic content that suits our target audience and top-of-funnel audiences using Canva, Adobe Illustrator, etc. (think posts and stories)
• Study what other pet brands are doing and understand what performs strongly in the algorithm
• Planning and scheduling a content calendar, ensuring all content is going out in a timely manner
• Creating relevant and on-brand copywriting for captions, hashtags, posts and stories
• Collaborate with internal teams on new projects and business initiatives

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in social media management
• A portfolio of previous graphic design work
• Experience working with D2C brands is ideal
• Ability to stay ahead of industry trends and drive innovative marketing approaches
• Creative and trend-savvy
• A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, design or related field is a plus but not required
