Position Summary The Credentialing Coordinator ensures the timely and accurate management of credentialing processes to support Nava's contractual compliance and operational efficiency. This role is responsible for maintaining employee and contractor credentials, onboarding new hires in accordance with contract requirements, and safeguarding compliance with federal, state, and organizational standards. By developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs), facilitating seamless onboarding, and managing access and compliance, the Credentialing Coordinator plays a critical role in upholding the integrity and functionality of workforce operations.

What You'll Do

  • Creating and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) for existing contracts, incorporating contract-specific requirements gathered from program managers and contract leads
  • Regularly reviewing SOPs to identify areas for improvement, ensuring they stay current with compliance regulations and organizational changes
  • Validating SOP updates with program managers to ensure alignment with each contract's objectives
  • Meeting with program managers and contract leads to establish specific onboarding requirements for new contracts
  • Coordinating with Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) to gather detailed onboarding needs, ensuring People Operations support aligns with contract requirements
  • Processing initial credentialing and recredentialing application
  • Guiding new hires through the agency onboarding process by providing clear instructions and ongoing support
  • Ensuring onboarding tasks are being completed accurately, in compliance with standards, and within the required timeframe, while keeping program managers informed of progress
  • Overseeing different internal communication channels to ensure all credentialing-related questions are answered
  • Obtaining necessary access to contract systems for onboarding purposes, facilitating smooth onboarding for all new hires and supporting overall contract compliance
  • Ensuring training is being completed ahead of deadlines for contract compliance
  • Ensuring record keeping accuracy

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in credentialing, HR operations, or a similar role
  • Familiarity with federal and state compliance requirements related to credentialing and onboarding
  • Knowledge of training and access requirements for contract compliance, ensuring adherence to deadlines
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms and credentialing systems
  • Strong knowledge of standard operating procedure (SOP) development and maintenance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with program managers, contract leads, and other stakeholders
  • Strong customer service orientation, especially when guiding new hires through onboarding processes
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address credentialing challenges and ensure compliance
  • Proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement in SOPs and credentialing processes
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information securely
  • Proficiency in GSuite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc); JIRA highly preferred

Desired Skills

  • Experience working in the government contracting space and/or credentialing experience in healthcare

Ability to meet any other requirements for government contracts for which candidates are hired
