A fast-growing sports data scale-up based in the Netherlands is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build, improve, and scale their sports data platform and APIs. You will take ownership of backend architecture, work with a strong development team, and deliver reliable solutions used by sports clubs, federations, and media companies worldwide.
Задачі
- Solve complex technical challenges and strengthen the platform foundation
- Work on backend architecture and system design
- Develop real-time data processing systems
- Build scalable, high-performance API solutions
- Optimize performance and improve reliability
- Develop future-proof infrastructure and backend practices
- Help professionalize the development team through code reviews and process improvements
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders
Вимоги
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience building complex backend or data-driven systems
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel
- Strong coding skills and collaborative mindset
- Object-oriented programming expertise
- API development experience
- Genuine interest in new technologies and tools
- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken

- Schedule: Availability to work at least 2-3 days per week from office
