Burna AI is building a safety and data quality platform for oncology drug development, starting with automating CTCAE adverse event grading and related workflows.

The Chief Commercial Officer will build the commercial engine from scratch, partnering with the CEO to define go-to-market strategy, convert design partnerships into paid contracts, and drive the first revenue trajectory toward a Series A.

  • Build and own Burna AI’s commercial playbook across NCI-designated cancer centers, academic medical centers, oncology networks, CROs, and pharma sponsors.
  • Define pricing, packaging, and revenue models; own pipeline development and commercial performance.
  • Lead complex enterprise sales cycles with health systems, cancer centers, and research organizations, navigating clinical champions, technical evaluators, compliance/IRB, and finance stakeholders.
  • Develop pharma and CRO partnerships with patient safety/pharmacovigilance, operations, and clinical data management leaders; position data quality capabilities as a service for multi-site oncology trials.
  • Convert existing design partnerships with cancer centers into commercial contracts.
  • Build and scale the commercial team as revenue grows, shaping structure above existing SDR support.

Required:

  • Proven track record driving revenue in healthcare, life sciences, digital health, or health tech (ideally early-stage or growth-stage).
  • Deep understanding of how cancer centers, health systems, and/or clinical research organizations buy software.
  • Experience selling into hospitals, health systems, pharma, biotech, or CROs.
  • Familiarity with oncology, clinical trials, or drug development ecosystems.
  • Comfort operating at seed stage: building processes from zero, moving fast with limited resources.
  • Strong executive presence with ability to engage senior clinical, commercial, and investor stakeholders.
  • Builder mindset (creating systems and playbooks rather than optimizing existing infrastructure).

Strongly preferred:

  • Experience in oncology or clinical trial operations.
  • Relationships at NCI-designated cancer centers or major CROs.
  • Understanding of healthcare procurement cycles, IRB processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with SaaS pricing models in healthcare.
  • Prior commercial leadership from pre-revenue through first $1M+ ARR.

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of adverse event workflows, CTCAE, or pharmacovigilance.
  • Network in pharma sponsor ecosystem (e.g., VP Patient Safety / VP Drug Safety / Head of PV).
  • Experience with EHR/EDC platforms (Epic, Oracle Health, Medidata, Veeva).

Умови

  • Compensation includes meaningful equity with standard vesting.
  • Cash base salary is contingent on the close of the company’s current seed round; specifics depend on experience and engagement structure.
  • Seed-stage environment with build-from-scratch commercial infrastructure and existing SDR support.
  • Enterprise sales cycles expected to be approximately 6–12 months.
