About The Role

The Human Resources Generalist at Schweiger Dermatology Group plays a vital role in supporting the HR functions across multiple office locations. This position involves acting as a primary point of contact for managers and employees, providing guidance on benefits, employee relations, compliance, recruitment, and HRIS management. The HR Generalist is responsible for ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, maintaining high standards of confidentiality, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The role requires a proactive approach to HR initiatives, policy review, and process improvement, all while delivering exceptional customer service to internal staff and external applicants. Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in healthcare
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience as an Associate, Junior Generalist, or Generalist
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience with HRIS systems required; Workday experience preferred
  • Proficiency with ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive employee and candidate relationships
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, innovative environment
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Healthcare recruitment experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for managers and employees on HR-related matters, including benefits, employee relations, and compliance
  • Support employee relations activities, including disciplinary conversations, investigations, and terminations as necessary
  • Manage HRIS data and provide support for information management
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with employment laws, regulations, and certifications
  • Assist in recruitment efforts, including screening and onboarding candidates
  • Coordinate employee leave processes in collaboration with HR leadership to ensure legal and policy compliance
  • Stay informed of employment law updates and implications for the organization
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to internal teams and external applicants
  • Review and update compensation practices to ensure FLSA compliance
  • Handle employment inquiries and escalate complex issues appropriately
  • Develop, review, and implement internal HR policies and procedures
  • Maintain knowledge and application of HIPAA and OSHA regulations
  • Support various HR projects and initiatives as directed by leadership
