Supply Chain Manager – Global Sourcing & Inventory

Location: Greensboro, NC

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead global sourcing and inventory replenishment with a heavy focus on manufacturing partners located across Asia . This role is critical in ensuring product availability, optimizing lead times, and aligning supply with business demand. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, operationally minded, and thrives in cross-functional collaboration with Operations and Sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end supply chain activities related to sourcing, procurement, and inventory replenishment from manufacturing plants in Asia.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with overseas suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.
• Own demand planning and inventory forecasting in partnership with Sales and Operations to support business growth while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
• Monitor and optimize lead times , safety stock levels, and reorder points across multiple SKUs and product lines.
• Coordinate production planning, shipment schedules, and inbound logistics to meet customer and operational requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Sales to understand demand trends, promotions, and customer commitments.
• Partner with Operations to align inventory strategy with capacity planning, warehouse constraints, and fulfillment needs.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Manage supplier performance metrics and lead initiatives to improve service levels and cost structure.
• Support new product introductions by coordinating sourcing timelines, inventory build strategies, and supplier readiness.
• Stay informed on global trade considerations, freight trends, and regional risks impacting Asia-based manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of supply chain experience with a strong emphasis on international sourcing and inventory management .
• Proven experience working with manufacturing plants in Asia (China, Vietnam, India, Southeast Asia, etc.).
• Deep understanding of inventory planning concepts including lead times, safety stock, MOQ, and demand variability.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel (or similar tools).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Sales, Operations, and external suppliers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Experience with global logistics, ocean freight, and customs processes is a plus.
