POSITION: Chief Operating Officer
Position Summary The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a senior executive leader responsible for the day-to-day operational oversight of the organization's clinical units, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, financial sustainability, and staff engagement. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the COO serves as a strategic partner in executing the organization's mission, vision, and long-term growth objectives.
The COO provides leadership across hospice field operations (average daily census ~220), palliative care services (field-based), and the inpatient hospice house providing General Inpatient (GIP) level of care. This role is critical in aligning clinical excellence with operational efficiency in a complex, highly regulated healthcare environment.
