Becklar Monitoring is a fast-growing alarm monitoring company focused on saving lives, protecting property, and providing peace of mind through rapid response to burglar, fire, medical, and IoT alarms.
The Part-Time Customer Service Alarm Operator role supports subscribers by processing alarm signals and coordinating emergency response with accurate documentation.
Responsibilities
- Process alarm signals quickly, accurately, and professionally while managing stressful situations.
- Dispatch appropriate authorities to subscriber locations during emergencies, verify response, and notify responsible parties.
- Support alarm company partners with alarm system tests to confirm systems are functioning properly.
- Accurately document alarm responses and actions in computer systems.
- Learn and use new software to complete multiple tasks.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to ensure accurate handling of alarms and support professional growth.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior customer service experience preferred.
- Typing speed of at least 40 wpm.
- Willingness to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and to work holidays (24/7 business).
- Ability to work the assigned shift for at least 6 months and make a 6-month commitment.
- Ability to pass a 2-week fully paid training class.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
Conditions
- Part-time schedule: 16–29 hours/week.
- Shifts available: Days (7:00am–12:00pm, 11:00am–4:00pm) and Swings (3:00pm–8:00pm, 6:00pm–11:00pm).
- Starting pay: $16.50/hour plus differentials during certain hours/days; weekly pay days.
