Simulmedia is looking for an experienced and dynamic Automation QA Engineer
(AQA) with a curious and creative mindset to join our Engineering team.
As an AQA Engineer at Simulmedia, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the
quality and reliability of our software platforms and products. You will help
build our test automation efforts, designing and implementing automated testing
strategies to ensure our software meets the highest quality standards. You will
collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address issues
early in the development cycle, ensuring that our products deliver a seamless
and exceptional user experience.
This position is located in either Kyiv or Lviv, Ukraine. The team is located
in Kyiv/Lviv and primarily works remotely with occasional team meetings in the
office.
Requirements:
* Location in Ukraine is mandatory
* 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a mix of manual and
automation testing
* Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect tracking
* Strong ability to analyze and identify testing deficits along with the
ability to write accurate tests
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts
to non-technical users.
* Ability to analyze logs, debug issues, and collaborate with development teams
to resolve them efficiently.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
* Collaborate with engineers to improve developer experience and processes
around testing our software
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of professional experience in automated test engineering
or a related role
* Strong proficiency in automated testing frameworks including Docker, JS,
Cypress, and Selenium Webdriver
* Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with test automation integration
including GitHub Actions
* Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Demonstrated ability to work independently
* Curiosity, creativity, and a passion for staying current with the latest
testing trends and technologies
* The desire to take a high level of ownership of the things you work on
* Ability to learn new things quickly, maintain a high bar for quality, and
be pragmatic
* Must be able to communicate with U.S based teams
* Ability to work 11 am — 8 pm EEST
Nice to Have:
* Strong knowledge of JS, Typescript, including experience with Cypress testing
* Experience with Gherkin/Cucumber
* Experience with AWS, including its services and infrastructure.
Our Tech Stack:
* We mostly run our testing framework utilizing Cypress, Typescript, and
Selenium Webdriver.
* We test against dedicated testing environments, as well as Docker images
