Domino's is hiring an Assistant Manager to help lead store operations and support the goal of being the best pizza delivery company. The role is responsible for managing the shift, ensuring standards are met, and driving great customer service and operational performance.
Responsibilities
Oversee everything that happens during the assigned shift, including customer relations and operational execution.
Manage cost controls, inventory control, and cash control; ensure accurate monetary change handling.
Set the example by following all policies and procedures 100% of the time and enforcing the same expectations with the crew.
Handle staffing needs and work to a schedule; maintain attendance and punctuality expectations.
Complete required paperwork, take inventory, and perform associated administrative tasks.
Operate store equipment; stock ingredients from delivery area to storage/work areas and walk-in cooler.
Prepare products and support food management and adherence to quality/brand standards.
Receive and process telephone and in-person orders; enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Maintain store cleanliness by cleaning equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Support marketing efforts and profitability initiatives; maintain a "perfect image" and adherence to standards.
Requirements
Ability to direct activities, make judgments and decisions, and work under stress while meeting strict quality control standards.
Strong communication skills: ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and co-workers (phone and in person).
Math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (calculator may be used); ability to make correct monetary change.
Ability to take and process orders using verbal, writing, and telephone skills.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Motor coordination and manual dexterity to perform fast, precise movements; continuous hand use for food preparation tasks.
Physical ability to stand for most tasks, walk short distances, and lift/carry items (including cases up to 50 lbs); ability to perform bending, reaching, crouching, and occasional climbing as required.
Reliable transportation to/from work.
Conditions
On-the-job orientation and training provided.
Work is in-store with varying conditions, including cooler temperatures around 36°F and hot work areas 90°F+ with sudden temperature changes.
Exposure to fumes/food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters (including walk-in cooler), hot surfaces/tools (oven up to 500°F+), sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
Some outside tasks with varying and sometimes adverse weather (e.g., removing trash).
Schedule-based shift work; responsibility for shift performance including staffing and adherence to standards.
