Regional Director of Supply Chain - West (Remote)

Shriners Children’s is a multi-state nonprofit pediatric healthcare system focused on excellence in patient care, education, and research. The Regional Director of Supply Chain (West) provides strategic and operational leadership for supply chain functions across multiple facilities to ensure cost-effective, compliant, and efficient support of high-quality care. This role partners closely with clinical and administrative leaders and drives standardization, sourcing, and performance outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide system-level leadership for supply chain operations across assigned markets, including procedural areas, PAR and perpetual inventory, requisitioning, receiving, bill-only processes, and vendor management.
- Oversee and leverage technology and software to improve supply chain visibility, efficiency, analytics, and decision-making across facilities.
- Plan, organize, and direct the market capital budgeting process in alignment with organizational priorities and stewardship.
- Maintain fiscal accountability for supply chain departments by monitoring budgets, controlling costs, and achieving operational targets.
- Support system-wide strategic sourcing for supplies and purchased services; collaborate with physicians and clinical leaders to optimize utilization and standardize products.
- Lead enterprise initiatives for product standardization, process improvement, and cost savings, including Value Analysis coordination.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with corporate directives and regulatory standards to ensure ethical and compliant procurement.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement through transparent communication and sharing best practices.
- Mentor, coach, and develop staff; foster continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Set measurable performance goals and implement action plans; participate in special projects and other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Required: 5 years of management or supervisory experience in supply chain or purchasing.
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field; or 10 years of progressive Supply Chain Management experience in lieu of degree.
- Preferred: Experience within a multi-facility healthcare organization.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience working within a healthcare ERP system (Workday, Infor/Lawson, or equivalent).
- Preferred: Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP).
Conditions

- Travel estimated at 1 week every two months (subject to change based on organizational needs).
