The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing the company's medium- and long-term growth opportunities, and is a key leader in driving new business growth, strategic partnerships, and ecosystem building. This position continuously creates new revenue streams and strategic value through systematic business development strategies, partnership model design, and resource integration, supporting the achievement of the company's overall strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
I. Business Development Strategy and Growth Planning
Develop and implement the company's business development strategy, defining medium- and long-term growth directions, key industries, and target markets;
Identify new businesses, new markets, and new business models to build a sustainable growth engine;
Translate company strategy into actionable business development plans and implementation paths.
II. Strategic Partnerships and Ecosystem Building
Responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing strategic partners, building industry ecosystems and collaboration networks;
Design and promote various cooperation models (joint solutions, channel partnerships, platform partnerships, technology partnerships, etc.);
Establish long-term, mutually beneficial relationships and continuously enhance partnership value.
III. New Business Incubation and Commercialization
Drive new businesses from proof-of-concept (PoC) to commercialization;
Collaborate with product, technology, and operations teams to refine business models and market entry strategies;
Monitor new business performance and continuously optimize profitability models and growth paths.
IV. Investment, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Strategic Project Support
Participate in preliminary research and evaluation of strategic investment, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, or business integration projects;
Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure the successful implementation of strategic projects;
Support the company's strategic layout and capability building in key areas.
V. Market Insight and Data-Driven Decision Making
Track industry trends, competitive landscape, and changes in customer needs;
Evaluate the strategic value and commercial feasibility of business opportunities based on data analysis;
Regularly report business development progress, risks, and recommendations to the senior management team.
VI. Cross-Departmental Collaboration and Internal Advocacy
Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, product, technology, finance, and legal departments to drive the implementation of business opportunities;
Drive decision-making and execution in a complex organizational environment and resolve critical issues;
Act as a core driver of business development within the company, improving organizational collaboration efficiency.
VII. Team Building and Leadership
Build and lead the business development team, defining roles, responsibilities, and performance objectives;
Develop the team's capabilities in strategic analysis, business negotiation, and project management;
Cultivate a results-oriented and continuously innovative business development culture. Qualifications
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree or above in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field;
MBA or relevant executive education background preferred.
Work Experience:
20+ years of experience in business development, strategy, investment, sales, or related fields;
At least 10 years of experience as a business development leader or in a senior management position;
Proven track record of success in technology, internet, B2B, platform-based, or high-growth companies.

Experience in international business development or cross-border cooperation is a plus.
