Senior Golang Engineer (SB)

We’re looking for a Senior Golang Engineer to join our Core Backend Team and help us build the foundation of Skibookers’ scalable microservice ecosystem.
You’ll work on core platform components, API integrations, and the infrastructure that powers AI-based recommendations, booking logic, and payments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services in Go within a microservices architecture
• Integrate with multiple travel APIs (flights, hotels, ski passes, payments)
• Build efficient data pipelines and caching layers for real-time pricing and personalization
• Optimize performance, reliability, and fault tolerance
• Collaborate with the AI and frontend teams to deliver new features end-to-end
• Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to core system design
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and observability (Kubernetes, Grafana, Sentry, etc.)
• Mentor mid-level engineers and contribute to engineering culture

Requirements‍

• 4+ years of experience with Go in production
• Strong understanding of microservices, gRPC/REST, and concurrency patterns
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, and API integration
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools
• Familiarity with AWS/GCP and cloud-native architectures
• Solid testing discipline (unit/integration/contract)
• Ownership mindset and ability to deliver in a fast-paced startup environment

Nice to have‍

• Experience with traveltech, marketplaces, or booking platforms
• Understanding of personalization systems, recommendation engines, or vector databases
• Knowledge of Python (for AI/data pipelines)
• Experience building distributed systems at scale
