About The Role
We are seeking a bold, creative, and culturally tuned-in Lead Organic Content Copywriter to join our dynamic team in New York City. This role is pivotal in shaping how millions experience the Hims & Hers brand through compelling storytelling across various digital channels. The successful candidate will oversee the development of engaging content, from social media posts to video scripts, that resonates with our diverse audience. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on position that requires a blend of strategic thinking and creative execution. You will lead our Organic Copy team, craft the voice and narratives for our organic YouTube presence, social channels, app, and blog, and work closely with cross-departmental stakeholders including Marketing, SEO, and Content Strategy. The role involves working from our NYC studio as needed, approximately a few times per month, to produce high-quality content that informs, entertains, and inspires.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in copywriting, with a focus on digital media
- Proven experience in scripting and creating content for YouTube
- Extensive knowledge of the video production process from a copywriting perspective, including pre-production, production, post-production, and delivery
- Experience leading and mentoring creative teams, supporting professional development
- Strong narrative-building skills with an eye and ear for compelling storytelling
- Ability to deliver on strategic initiatives while maintaining brand voice, tone, and standards
- Experience collaborating with designers, editors, art directors, animators, and producers
- Proficiency in using insights and data to shape content strategies and drive engagement
- Excellent communication skills to present and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- In-depth understanding of the healthcare, wellness, or CPG industry (a plus)
- Hands-on, proactive approach with a passion for creativity and innovation
Responsibilities
- Own and develop the brand voice across all organic content platforms, including YouTube, social media, blogs, and app content
- Conceptualize, script, and produce video content that educates, entertains, and inspires our audience
- Collaborate with creative teams—art directors, producers, editors, designers—to bring ideas from concept to final production, including in-person shoots
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of organic copywriters, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Champion experimentation with content formats and strategies, utilizing data and insights to optimize engagement and conversion
- Maintain consistency in brand voice, tone, and storytelling standards across all content
- Ensure high-quality, error-free copy through rigorous editing, proofreading, and review processes
- Stay informed about industry trends, platform updates, and best practices to keep content innovative and effective
- Support strategic initiatives by translating complex healthcare topics into binge-worthy, accessible content
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align content strategies with overall brand and marketing goals
