We re fully remote, with team members across the U.S. About the role Ondo is looking for someone to lead strategic communications and media relations. In this role, you will join Ondo Finance s marketing team, leading our media and agency relations, driving go-to-market PR strategies for new launches, and crafting the story and vision of Ondo for audiences across both Web3 and traditional finance. This is a global role, interfacing with media and partners from North America to APAC. This person excels at storytelling and can work with senior leadership to synthesize Ondo s vision and momentum into a digestible narrative that can be told through earned and owned marketing channels. The ideal candidate has a results-driven comms track record of strategizing and executing PR functions or journalist experience, and has a strong network of journalist and media relationships. Prior experience working in web3 or finance is required. This person is an excellent writer and skilled communicator who can simplify complex financial concepts, with demonstrated experience on projects at the intersection of blockchain, traditional finance and decentralized finance. We are specifically seeking candidates with a background in crypto and finance, with an understanding of how blockchain and tokenization can be leveraged in industries such as financial services, investing, and DeFi. Responsibilities PR Strategy - Develop and execute strategic PR campaigns and announcements, setting the goals, tactics, strategy and execution to secure high-quality coverage in crypto and traditional financial media publications Media Contacts - Leverage existing and cultivate new relationships between media targets and Ondo Finance across traditional/mainstream financial media and web3 trade press and journalists Proactive Pitching – Identify press and thought leadership opportunities, and earn timely placement in key stories Narrative Development - Work directly with the Executive Team to articulate Ondo Finance s messaging and develop proactive talking points for our products and media engagements Agency Management - Manage the relationship and performance of external PR agencies Content Creation - Support new partner and product announcements by contributing to press releases, opinion pieces, thought leadership content, and more Results Oriented - Grow Ondo s share of voice, and demonstrably measure and report the performance and success of our PR initiatives Requirements Experience: 10+ years of experience in Communications / PR at an agency or in-house, with a track record of delivering quality results in traditional finance, crypto, blockchains, or DeFi Expertise: Deep understanding of blockchain, web3 ecosystems, DeFi, financial services, and Public Relations Network: Strong media relationships in Web3, blockchain, and adjacent financial services Robust writing and editing skills: Experience writing about blockchain, tokenization, financial products and services, DeFi applications and protocols. Specifically has the ability to simplify complex topics into educational content for media and readers Adaptable: Can manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and establish structure and processes that scale Media savvy: an understanding of what stories will, and will not, resonate with the media.
