About Lead For America Lead For America (LFA) is dedicated to building a diverse leadership force to strengthen communities and bridge divides in the U.S. by fostering relationships across political and ideological lines. The American Connection Corps (ACC), launched by LFA, is the nation's largest AmeriCorps initiative focused on closing the digital divide in rural and economically disadvantaged areas. Supported by a broad coalition of partners, including AmeriCorps and major corporations, ACC connects communities to affordable high-speed internet, advancing economic opportunity, health, and social capital in underserved regions. Department Context:
The National Recruitment & Selection team drives Lead For America's host partnership-centered recruitment strategy, ensuring strong, mission-aligned relationships with nonprofits, government agencies, Tribal Nations, libraries, and other community organizations. This department is responsible for developing and managing host site pipelines, guiding organizations through the full lifecycle from initial outreach to onboarding and member placement. The team supports host-led recruitment of community-rooted members, providing coaching, training, and resources to ensure successful placement outcomes. By prioritizing partnership quality, host readiness, and alignment with LFA's mission, the team ensures that every program placement strengthens both the community and the member experience. Key responsibilities include host identification and engagement, relationship management, onboarding guidance, process facilitation, CRM and data tracking, and cross-team collaboration to advance organizational goals and programmatic impact.
Role Expectations:
The Recruitment & Onboarding Manager - Host Partnerships drives LFA's host-centered recruitment model, building strong, community-rooted partnerships with nonprofits, government agencies, libraries, Tribal Nations, and other local organizations. This role ensures host sites are fully prepared, confident, and capable of recruiting their own local members, while guiding them through the host application, onboarding, orientation, and placement process. This position focuses on relationship management, process coaching, and strategic partnership development, using data and CRM tools to track progress, ensure accountability, and measure success by host readiness and quality placements.

In addition to the responsibilities unique to the Role described above, all Team members devote a portion of their time to supporting strategic and operational efforts across our teams that advance the organization:
Requirements 5-7 years of experience in recruitment, partnership management, community engagement, or related program operations — ideally within national service programs, workforce development, nonprofits, or government sectors. You bring direct experience managing high-volume outreach, guiding stakeholders through defined processes, and ensuring successful outcomes across diverse community organizations.
Demonstrated relationship-management excellence — you've built and maintained strong, trust-based partnerships with external stakeholders such as nonprofits, government agencies, Tribal Nations, libraries, or community-based organizations. You excel at coaching, advising, and supporting partners through multistep processes with clarity, empathy, and accountability.
Expertise in recruitment pipelines and/or program onboarding — you're skilled at guiding partners or participants through structured recruitment or onboarding workflows, anticipating challenges, and ensuring readiness at each stage. You bring a track record of helping stakeholders meet deadlines, follow processes, and achieve high-quality placements or program matches.
Strong project management and organizational skills — you can manage many partners, timelines, and processes at once, keeping complex workflows moving smoothly from outreach to placement. You bring discipline, attention to detail, and comfort navigating fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
Data- and systems-oriented mindset — you use data and CRM/project management tools (i.e. ATS, Salesforce, Asana) to track progress, identify gaps, and drive decision-making. You're comfortable analyzing trends, monitoring pipeline health, and improving processes based on insights.
Proactive problem solver and process improver — you identify friction points in the recruitment and onboarding lifecycle, gather feedback, and iterate to create clearer, more consistent, and more equitable systems. You balance structure with flexibility and know how to support partners through challenges.
Clear, confident, and values-driven communicator — you excel at communicating expectations, timelines, and next steps to external partners with clarity and professionalism. You can facilitate trainings, lead calls, and translate complex information into digestible guidance for diverse audiences.
Cross-functional collaborator — you work well with internal teams (Program Operations, Marketing & Communications, Finance, Data/Systems) to align strategies, share insights, and support high-quality placements.

Benefits Salary and benefits:
Below is the anticipated minimum and maximum salaries we can provide at this time. Starting salary is dependent on role and experience level. Based on these factors, the below salary range is subject to vary considerably. Note that salaries are expected to rise over time with increased experience, inflation, and the growth of the organization, and that for most roles there is ample opportunity for promotion.
Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000
