About The Role We are currently seeking an energetic and people-focused Driver Recruiter to join our team in Perryville, MO. The Driver Recruiter will serve as the first point of contact for prospective CDL drivers, playing a vital role in attracting, screening, and onboarding top-tier drivers who align with our safety standards and company culture. This in-office position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for building relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to facilitating pre-employment procedures, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience. The role offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on our company's growth by bringing in drivers who are committed to safety and excellence.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have prior experience in trucking, recruiting, or logistics, which is preferred but not mandatory. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively engaging with candidates and internal teams. The ability to stay organized and attentive to detail is crucial in managing multiple recruitment activities simultaneously. Proficiency in using recruiting platforms, email, and CRM/ATS tools is required to streamline the hiring process. A team-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are important attributes. Knowledge of DOT regulations is a plus, but comprehensive training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Source and screen qualified CDL A driver candidates through various channels such as job boards, social media, referrals, and industry networks.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including posting job openings, conducting interviews, running background checks, and coordinating pre-employment requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within applicant tracking systems to ensure compliance and streamline hiring processes.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with prospective drivers from initial contact through orientation and ongoing engagement.
  • Coordinate with Safety and Operations departments to facilitate smooth onboarding and integration of new drivers into the fleet.
  • Monitor industry trends and adjust recruiting strategies to remain competitive and attract high-quality candidates.
  • Provide a positive candidate experience by communicating effectively and professionally throughout the recruitment process.
