At Fortell, we’re building a better hearing aid that redefines how people experience sound and connect with the world. Powered by custom silicon and advances in hearing science, our hearing aids help people hear, and live, with greater clarity and confidence.

As our Social Media Manager, you will own how Fortell shows up on social media: the stories we tell, the conversations we start, and the relationships we build with patients, caregivers, and clinicians.

You’ll define our social strategy, build content pillars and calendars, work with Design to bring ideas to life, and engage daily with our audience. This is a strategic, hands-on role: you’re as comfortable shaping the roadmap and reporting on results as you are writing copy, briefing creatives, and jumping into the comments.

Your mission: Make Fortell’s social presence a high-ROI engine for awareness, trust, and demand.

What You’ll Own Social Strategy & Channel Mix

  • Social media strategy aligned to brand, growth, and product goals
  • Content pillars and narratives (education, testimonials, product stories, behind-the-scenes, etc.)
  • Recommendations on which channels we use and why, with clear goals and role for each

Content Planning & Production

  • Always-on content calendar across channels, mapped to campaigns, launches, and key moments
  • Briefs for Design, Video, and external partners that translate strategy into clear, actionable creative asks
  • Channel-specific copywriting, posting, and formatting (static, carousels, Reels/shorts, stories, lives)

Community & Engagement

  • Day-to-day engagement: comments, DMs, mentions, and community conversations
  • Social listening: surface themes, FAQs, pain points, and opportunities back to Marketing, CX, and Product

  • Consistent content calendar that balances education, storytelling, and conversion-driving messages to book an appointment

  • A tight feedback loop where real patient questions and reactions inform our marketing and product decisions

Responsibilities

  • Define Fortell’s social strategy, content pillars, and channel roles
  • Own the monthly and weekly content calendar
  • Write and edit social copy that is clear, empathetic, and on brand
  • Create detailed creative briefs and partner closely with Design to develop high-quality assets
  • Publish and schedule content, optimizing for each platform’s best practices
  • Monitor and respond to comments and DMs; coordinate with CX and Clinical teams on escalations
  • Track performance and build simple, actionable dashboards and recap reports
  • Propose and run experiments to improve engagement, click-through, and conversion
  • Stay current on platform trends, features, and policies, and translate them into practical recommendations for Fortell

Who You Are

  • 5+ years managing social media for a consumer brand, healthcare, or mission-driven company
  • Strong strategist and strong executor—you can set the direction and also do the work
  • Excellent writer with a feel for tone, clarity, and accessibility (especially on sensitive topics like health)
  • Confident partnering with designers and video editors; you know what makes good creative and can give clear feedback
  • Comfortable with metrics and tools
  • Organized and reliable with calendars, deadlines, and cross-functional communication
  • Curious, empathetic, and motivated by helping people experience life more fully through better hearing
