About The Role

We are seeking a strategic and passionate Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at Sephora’s San Francisco office. In this full-time, hybrid role, you will serve as a key advisor to the Asset Protection leadership team, aligning HR strategies with business objectives to drive performance excellence and leadership development. Your expertise will influence talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement initiatives, ensuring a high-performing, inclusive culture where employees thrive. This position offers the opportunity to shape the employee experience, support organizational change, and contribute to Sephora’s continued success in the retail beauty industry.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years as an HR Business Partner, preferably in retail or multi-unit environments
  • Experience supporting Asset Protection teams is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of performance management, succession planning, employee relations, compliance, and leave of absence processes
  • Proven ability to influence leadership and foster organizational change
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR metrics and data-driven insights
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
  • HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are advantageous
  • Ability to travel 25-40% within the assigned market and work in a hybrid environment (2-3 days in-office)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for fostering an inclusive workplace culture

Responsibilities

  • Partner with regional and district Asset Protection leaders to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals
  • Drive performance management processes that empower leaders and enhance team effectiveness
  • Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership coaching to develop future-ready teams
  • Foster an inclusive and engaging work environment that promotes employee retention and satisfaction
  • Analyze HR data and trends to inform strategic decisions and identify areas for organizational improvement
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies in employee relations, investigations, and leave management
  • Provide guidance and support on HR policies, employee development, and organizational initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a positive and productive workplace culture
