The Talent Manager plays a pivotal role in developing, managing, and advancing the careers of a roster of top-tier talent. This individual serves as the primary point of contact for clients, offering strategic counsel, facilitating partnerships, and driving business growth through creative and commercial opportunities. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and deeply attuned to industry trends, brand partnerships, and content strategy.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of experience directly managing top-tier talent in the traditional and/or digital space.
  • Experience negotiating and redlining contracts.
  • Experience developing industry relationships to build out a strong pipeline of new business/revenue.
  • Experience meeting and exceeding a revenue goal.
  • Experience developing talent both on and off digital platforms.
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual presentation/communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all personality types and behaviors; flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a high-volume email/workload.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented work style.
  • Ability to work against deadlines.
  • A passion for social media and an interest in developing talent relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

TALENT REPRESENTATION & STRATEGY

  • Maintain consistent communication with a roster of talent, providing strategic counsel across all business matters including social media growth, brand development, public image, and long-term career trajectory.
  • Provide a 360-degree approach to career and brand-building, developing short- and long-term strategies for each client through regular strategy meetings and cross-department collaboration.
  • Develop creative and strategic business ideas, initiatives, and new ventures tailored to each talent’s strengths, goals, and audience.
  • Offer actionable advice on optimizing digital platforms for brand partnerships and audience engagement.
  • Represent talent in all contract negotiations, ensuring terms align with client goals and company standards.

BRAND PARTNERSHIPS & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Cultivate new and maintain existing relationships with brand and agency partners to generate deal flow and meet revenue targets. Identify, develop, and execute partnership opportunities.
  • Field incoming brand and collaboration opportunities and craft compelling stories and pitches to align talent with suitable campaigns.
  • Create and present polished pitch decks and media kits that accurately showcase talent capabilities and reach.
  • Manage and oversee the full campaign lifecycle, from initial pitch and creative direction to content delivery, invoicing, and performance reporting.
  • Represent talent in contract negotiations and manage contract process, including redlines.
  • Create wrap-up reports and analytics summaries to assess campaign performance and provide insights for future opportunities.
  • Support talent in the execution of campaigns, including creative direction, shot lists, scripts, and location planning.
  • Track all deliverables, ensuring deadlines, invoices, and reporting elements are met accurately and efficiently.

RESEARCH, INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT & TRAVEL

  • Participate in company-wide initiatives, contributing to team culture and operational excellence.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging platforms, and talent discovery opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential new clients and business opportunities.
  • Travel (approximately 2–3 times per quarter) for client events, networking, and brand activations.
