About the role:
We are building an educational platform tailored for the Middle East market,
with a strong focus on video-based learning. The platform supports both Arabic
and English content with full RTL/LTR layout compatibility. Key features include
offline encrypted video playback with HLS streaming, real-time gamification with
leaderboards, a secure quiz system with server-side validation, and activation
code-based subscriptions.
You will be working on the native Android application as part
of a cross-functional team, bringing high-quality and scalable features to life
for thousands of learners.
Main responsibilities:
— Develop and maintain the native iOS application using Swift and SwiftUI
— Implement offline encrypted video playback with support for HLS streaming
— Integrate real-time gamification features such as leaderboards and rewards
— Build a secure assessment/quiz system with server-side validation
— Ensure multilingual support with full Right-to-Left (RTL) and Left-to-Right
(LTR) layout compatibility
— Follow modern architectural patterns like MVVM or MVI, and utilize tools such
as Combine and async/await
— Collaborate closely with Android, web, and backend teams to deliver consistent
functionality across platforms.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
— Strong proficiency in Swift
— Experience with SwiftUI and Combine
— Familiarity with MVVM or MVI architecture patterns
— Hands-on experience with async/await for asynchronous operations
— Proficiency in working with RESTful APIs
— Solid understanding of multilingual architecture with RTL/LTR layout support
— Experience integrating a video player (e.g., AVPlayer or third-party
solutions)
— Expertise in building native iOS UI using modern frameworks
— Upper-Intermediate English or higher (B2+)
Would be cool:
— Experience with Core Data, encrypted local storage (AES-256), or Keychain
— Familiarity with iOS file system management for offline video storage
— Prior experience working on an educational platform or e-learning app
— Understanding of HLS encryption or FairPlay DRM for secure video streaming
